Door-to-Door Service

Door-to-door means we take responsibility for the shipment from your dock to your customer’s dock, coordinating first-mile pickup, linehaul, and last-mile delivery under a single plan. The result is fewer handoffs, less dwell, and simpler communication for your team.

By limiting transloading and keeping custody clear, door-to-door can reduce the chances of damage and delays, especially for sensitive freight, while keeping your schedule predictable.

What you’re getting in the mix is:

  • Multi-mode equipment: Reefers and dry vans ready to take over your freight needs.
  • Food-grade & high standards: Cleaning/SOP alignment, satellite tracking, and continuous maintenance.
  • Proactive visibility: Real-time tracking and milestone updates at every critical handoff.

The final mile is where reliability is felt most; consistent, on-time delivery protects customer experience and OTIF performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is included in the door-to-door service?

End-to-end coordination: pickup at origin, linehaul routing, delivery to the consignee’s facility, plus milestone updates throughout. It’s a single arrangement that covers the entire movement from one door to the other.

Which freight types do you support?

General dry goods (dry van), temperature-controlled products (refrigerated), and food-grade liquids (stainless-steel tankers). Specialized liquids and viscous products are supported with dedicated pumping solutions. (Via our Mexico partner, TGL, when applicable.)

How does door-to-door reduce issues versus multi-handoff models?

Fewer transshipment points + clearly defined responsibility typically means less dwell and lower risk of incidental damage, which improves punctuality.

What visibility do I get?

Real-time location/milestone tracking from pickup to POD, with proactive notifications at critical events (pickup, in-transit, arrival, delivery). TGL’s fleet in Mexico also utilizes satellite tracking.

Can you align with our site procedures and quality standards?

Yes. We map appointment windows, seal and sanitation SOPs, temperature set-points (for reefers), and documentation requirements during onboarding to mirror your operations.

Is cross-border included?

When your lanes require it, we integrate cross-border without changing the core service: Allure manages the plan; TGL executes inside Mexico. Otherwise, door-to-door remains fully domestic. (Added benefit—not a requirement.)
